567100 Sagae Watanabe 1996
This is my favorite Hosta, bar none. First of all it’s unique, you can’t mistake it and I don’t know of anything else like it.  More important, it is absolutely stunning. I really believe that if you have a yard full of beautiful plants that includes a mature clump of 'Sagae’, it is likely to be the first plant people point to and say "What’s that?"  It forms a very large clump, 5-6' wide after a few years.  The leaves are large and heart-shaped, with wavy edges and prominent veins. They emerge bright green, margined in deep golden yellow, and later turn to a frosty, silvery gray-green while the margins turn to creamy white.  Pale lavender flowers.

A BRIDGEWOOD GARDENS INTRODUCTION
567900
Satisfaction   Bridgewood Gardens 2000
This is a sport of 'Piedmon Gold' found here at our nursery. It forms a mound about 3’ wide and has the same elegant form as ‘Piedmont Gold’, wide and low growing, with nicely rippled, large, heart-shaped leaves. It has the same rich gold color in its wide, irregular edge, but the center of the leaf is dark green. When the plant matures, the gold margin measures nearly 2" wide. Unless the plant is grown in the sun, the bright yellow edge does not fade to cream or white, so the contrast holds through the summer. Flowers are pale lavender, again identical to the parent.

A BRIDGEWOOD GARDENS INTRODUCTION
570600 Sergeant Pepper
Bridgewood Gardens 2001
This is a seedling that we selected here at the nursery and first offered for sale in the fall of 1995. It forms a medium sized mound of heart-shaped, wavy-edged leaves, about 5" wide and 6" long. The foliage is chartreuse to gold, depending on light intensity, with a medium green center streak, about 2" across at its widest point. The leaf has good, heavy substance, some puckering, and tolerates sun well. The flowers are near white, with just a slight tint of lavender.

For those who insist on growing hostas in the sun, this would be one of my recommendations.  We kept one out in full hot sun all summer, well watered of course, and it held up very well.  Leaves are large and nicely rippled with a bit of corrugation, gold to chartreuse.
